Vessel Gallery presents “Which ID?”, a film screening on May 18, 6-9 PM

Vessel Gallery is delighted to present Which ID?, a film screening accompanying Excuse Me, Can I See Your ID?. This series of films curated by Jasmine Lee Ehrhardt includes five Asian American filmmakers whose work spans issues of immigration, incarceration, interpersonal relationships, gender and gender expression, imperialism, and national identities.

May is Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. Vessel Gallery's group exhibition Excuse Me, can I see your ID? is an exploration of AAPI identity - in all of its complexities and nuances. Exhibiting artists Cherisse Alcantara, Rea Lynn de Guzman, Hyeyoung Kim, Kyong Ae Kim, Juan Santiago, Sanjay Vora, and Evan Yee will discuss their work on view and how their identity and experience as an AAPI artist presents itself in their work.
